Applications for adoption can be filled out here, once an application has been filed please allow up to 1 week before contacting us about your application. We process applications as fast as possible, but we do work fulltime jobs and we are all volunteers.
Applications are processed in order they are received, if application meets our standards we will arrange for applicants to view the adoptee. We do not run a physical shelter and rely on foster homes, so please do not email or phone asking where we are located. If you think you can help with fostering click here to see what is involved.
Once you have viewed the adoptee and have made the decision to adopt you can then make arrangements to meet one of the coordinators to fill out all adoption documents. Once completed arrangements will be made with the foster home for the animal to be released to your care.
All animals in are care are altered prior to adoption with the exception of puppies. Puppies will receive a certificate for spay or neuter by the age of 6 months.
All animals will be up to date on vaccinations @ time of adoption, e.g. a 12 week old puppy will have up to two sets of shots, after adoption the owner will be required to have remaining shots done @ there own expense.
All animals will have a record of health with their adoption folder, puppies will be required to have all shots up-to-date prior to altering.
please email admin@secondchancepetrescue.net for inquiries about current fees.
