At this time SCPR will no longer be accepting kittens or cats into rescue. We are sorry for the inconvenience. We are strictly going to focus on K9 rescue and rehabilitation.

Born to Die

Every year, an estimated 5 to 10 million pets are euthanized in animal shelters in the United States. Why? Because there is no place for them to go, no homes for them. Yet, we continue to let animals roam freely, unneutered and producing more unwanted animals.

We are a small group located in the Winnipeg, Manitoba area that is dedicated to rescuing homeless dogs from neglected, helpless situations. We have rescued a few felines, bunnies, parrots and reptiles as well. We rarely take owner surrenders and have rescued most of our animals from kill shelters just before their time was up. Since we do not have a public facility, "foster parents" bring these animals into their homes where they are lovingly cared for, rehabilitated, socialized and carefully placed with compatible people who are willing to be their lifelong friend. read more..

Loki

Loki is an 10 month old, medium sized, male Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler/Labrador Retriever Cross).

Loki especially enjoys being off leash at the dog park where he makes lots of people and dog friends. (If allowed, Loki would probably be capable of driving himself to the park!)
